he has been able to distance himself on sever w issuesch is a plus he'll work on transportation issues. a big issue in this state and the governor says he has done ll on things like lowering bay bridge tolls and a lot of people like that. higher voter turnout is going to be a good sign for him, but he knows that hn has uphill climb to become the first black governor of the state of maryland. having had to fight criticism that he is a socialist on economes is something he has strongly rejected. and tuition paid college and

going on in thisdistrict. what you often see is its coming from somebody who may not have theor strongest rec and wants to divert attention from that. he has been a successful business person but doesn't mean he's the bestualified for the job. >> we watched ben jealous dig in to try tohe defeat incumbent in this race and the numbers haven't been trending h way polling wise. has he done enough to have the impact he wants to have? >> this race has been largely frozen in place since ben jealous won the nomination and part of that is outside of his control. larry hogan did what i thought was a greatob j in 2015-2016 establishing himself as aever trumper. and as a consequence, he built a fence around all the mod ate republicans in the state and i think that helps innoculate him
