we do know that the shooter was 28-year-old ian david long. he was a marine corps veteran and spent time in afghanistan. he opened fire killing 12 people he was a regular visitor there. he liked to go there in the past but in recent days was living with his mother nearby. neighbors say they would hear loud fights at the home. police responded to a destic disturbance but they didn't have enough to really put him on a psychological hold. there was no indicion that he would turn violent. that's the latest on the investigation into him. quite a bit more to come in the coming da.
