that asks you to confirm your identity, which should raise a red flag, but this is a legitimate e-mail. paypal says it's asking users to confirm their identities in order to comply with government regulations. if you n't, you'll still be able to use your paypal account with your bank or credit card but won't be abl a to carry balance. while this particular e-mail is really from paypal, hackers are ou ely to copy it and send one with a malicious link instead. so if you are receiving an e-il asking you to confirm your identity, don't click on any links. open your web browser and type in paypal.com and log in.he you should see a message tider your alerts asking you to confirm your id. now to that warning for venmo users. we've learned a new scam is making the rounds where a stranger will ask to borrow your phone for whatever reason. while you're not looking, they're going to open the app and sy.d themselves mo there's an easy way to protect yourself.

it really is amazing how many fridays we've seen rain. not just rain, we've had quite a few fridays with over a half an inch to an inch of uprain, a of them over two inches of rain. it has been nasty on fridays and here we go again. g we'v the rain across the area. now notice how it's a little bit more scattered. there are some drier areas currently seeingte that mode rain around frederick and leesburg, southern maryland. some breaks along i-95 but still on the wet side. you can see a vittle widerw here. the heaviest of the rain came through about 3:00. now it's uphe towards philadelphia area bringing them heav rachinfall. here's the back edge. we're not totally done until we clear the front. that front has to come through. we could see a couple of more showers. how about what's going on to the north. look at this, guys. the first real snow of the season for places like albany, new york, around buffalo. numbers of four to seven inches. we're talking lake effect snow overplhe next c of days for those areas.

isis is what greets us at 8:00 a.m. s when you factor in the temperature and the winds, feeling abo 35 in washington, 28 degrees in leesburg. as we move towards the lunchtime hour, continuing to track the 0sill, feels-like temperatures in the 20s and across the area. tomorrow afternoon we're really no improving. we continue to have windchills in the 30s, and that continues into the early evening hours before tempetures plummet turday night into sunday morning. the areas here in purple are under a freeze warning. g everybody'ng to be cold, but these areas are still considered to be in their growing season. so that's why you want to bring in any sensitive plants and at this point keep them inside for the winter months. here are some signs that the cold is coming. ndchills in the 30s out there tomorrow. as we look to sunday morning, we're talking about a widespread freeze across the area, so everybody likely below freezing. high temperatures this running about 15 to 20 degrees below normal overall, so very cold weekend, and then a heads-up. windchills in the teens to near
