in north d.c. the victim had just gone t out of his a car wh man approached and pointed something in his back. he took his iphonend cash. police say the victim's dog, a pit bull, ran after the guy. the man in the getaway ca shot the dog in the face and the two suspects drovet off. getaway car is described as a dark red sedan with.inted windo the dog's injuries are severe. animal control had to tend to the dog. keep this in mind for your holiday tweekend,re are metro closures near reagan metro airport. two stations, national airport d crystal city,ill be closed for construction. blue line trains will operate between franconia-springfield and braddock road and between pentagon city and eastern market. yellow line trains will operate between huntington and braddock road and between pentagon city and mt. vernon square. the metro detours will change ightly tomorrow. you can find more information in the nbc washington app.
