>> cell phone video taken by a ws4 viewe shows chaotic moments. officers running at the scene of a police-involved shooting, and the suspect shot andoued by police loaded into an ambulance. he was taken to the hospital in serious condition. three cars were towed from the , sc quiet cul-de-sac in ghermantown. you could see shattered glass, some bullet holes as they rode past our 'scamera. unclearer who caused the damage. montgomery county police shot the armed man after being called here for someone threatening the neighborhood with a handgun. >> during the encounter with the officer, the male was shot. officers provided first aid until fire rescue personnel arrived on the scene. >> reporter: one neighbor who has known the suspect for years described him as troubled. she is concernedld that cn were around during the gunfire at 3:00 on a sunday afternoon. >> they saw everything. i can't imagine kids looking out a window. first of all, it's dangerous, there is a gun, there is gunfire.

on this veterans day, we honor a local fallen ho killed in afghanistan. brendon mooney mae histode hist navy s.e.a.l. a new documentary about his lifm red today. news4's aimee cho spoke to bren brendon's father and osister. r here to the left. >> reporter: one of the first loony ou notice in the family's house are the pictures they proudly placed. the man in these photos, brendan loony was the picture of patriotism. >> he volunteered for everything he did. >> reporter: went to the naval
