forecast with this weather ale morning. >> chuck and lauryn are here with team coverage on the storm that's headi our way. >> absolutely right. you can tell just based on the radar imagery wt's really happening in the atmosphere. high pressure to our north has dammed up col air into t front range of the appalachian mountains. w that cold air is trapped in the shenandoah valley. cold air is heavier than warm air, so it settles down into thl s. as a result, there's a significant chanc for some freezing rain, sleet, or snow, especially in the shenandoah valley this morning. already periods of heavy snow in charles county. our cameras around the city aren't seeing anything gth to ground yet. the air mass overhead is very, very dry. when it tries to rain andonow down iit, that will make the temperatures drop closer to the freezing mark. as a result, winter weather advisory for i-95 and the d.c. metro area. winter storm warning across here's the way future weather is handling it. an opportunity for sleet, snow,
