were not involved. >> reporter: this morning, a murder mystery b closer to solved. the cia concluded that the saudi crown mrinceammed bin salman ordered the killing of jamal khashoggi, according to a source briefed on the cia assement. reportedly made in high confidence, it is based on multiple pieces of intelligence which nbc news has yet to confirmindependently. according to "the washington post," the saudi ambassador to the u.s. called khashoggi reportedly telling the journalist to go to the saudi consulate in istanbul, assuring him he would be safe. the ambassador denying the allegation on twitter, saying i never talked to him by phone and certainly never suggested he go to turkey. the saudis insist the crown prince is nocent. >> his royal highness the crown prince has nothing to do with this issue. >> reporter: this week charging 11 people in khashoggi's murder with five facing the death penalty. the latest saudi version of

tucy, thank you. back herehome, president trump is speaking out about the russia investigation, saying that he's finished his written answers to the special counsel's questions about russian interference in the 2016 election. the president again insisting he s done nothing wrong. nbc's white house correspondent my colleague, kelly o'donnell has more. kelly, good morning. >> reporter: good morning, peter. a pair of legal dramas for the president. first a federal court is intervening in a dispute between the white house and a journalist over press credential and then that long-running russian investigation where the presidents now taking part in something that he has called a hoax and a witch owhunt, but he is complying with a major request from prosecutors. from the oval office friday, president trump revealed he is personally responding to russia investigation questions from the special counsel. >> i where the answers. i writes. answer >> reporter: he said he would hand over his responses after his legal teamigns off. but the president also accused

andany more in texas. about 3,000 migrants are already there. and many more were the coming days. now the system is so overwhelmed that migrants seeng asylum are expecting to wait at least a month at t border before even being processed. presidlet meanw has all but dropped the issue all together after calling it an invasion and using the issue to rally his supporters ahead of the midterms. e estimate puts the cost of this deployment at $220 million. now, here a thisorder crossing, customs and border protection has shut down multiple lanes of traffic. thousands of more migrants were expected into tijuana over the coming weend, but mexican authorities intercepted several of the buses they were, taki so they may decide to head elsewhere. sheinelle? >> gabe, thank yo to florida now where election officials in several counties have just a few more hours to complete a manual recount after that state-wide recount was issued in the race for senate. officials have been working

two batches of snow right now. some falling through chicago bnd somek to the northern rockies, especially in the higher elevations. this cold front is going to continue to move east ward as we go through the day. so we'll see snow off and on through chicago. then it will move to the east as we go into tonight. and then we are looking at some light snow in cleveland across up state new york on sunday. even up across new england. it's a fast-moving system, so it's not going a to produce whole lot of snow, but still, we could see some slippery spots on the roads. back through the rockies out near denver, we will see perhaps 4 to 8 inches of snow mostly in the higher elevations and then moving east ward wide-spread 1 to 2 inches of snow with up state new york picking up possibly closer t three. that's a look at the weather across the country, now here's a peek at your ndow. depending on where you are depends on whether you have clouds or you're going to see some sunshine. areas to the south seemtl a l more sun than areas to the north. that's where it's also a little cooler out there with those temperatures in the 20s and 30s.
