ack a bit. this started after president trump walls critical of a federal judge out in california two temporarily blocked his order to restrict asylum seekers. denying them asylum if they crossed the border illegal. president trump was speaking to reporters yesterday. he slammed that judge as a quote obama judge implying that has some bearn his decision in this case. today in a statement, roberts said, tlrm no obama judges, there are no trump judges and he essentially hailed an independent judiciary. well, president trump just not too long ago escalateed that war of words on twitter saying, sorry, chief justice john roberts, but there are, in fact, judges. so again, this is something we rarely, if ever, have seen between the chief justice ofun ed states and the president. >> reporter: and, blaine, this is not te first the president has gone after the 9th circuit. what is the history rthere? orter: it's a frequent target of it. you will remember when the
