it was felt 350 miles away and aftershocks will continue for weeks even. but earthquakes in alaska are not unusual. amelia draperontinues our coverage with that part of the story. >> yeah, absolutely. so this earthquake was unusual because it happened so close it anchorage and it did register as a magnitude 7 which is a maj earthquake be. but check out this map i put together. s all of the earthquakes that happened around alaska over the last week, all those little blue dots, the yell will how on today's earthquake. you can see plenty there on the map. t a lot of those are pretty low coming in at maybe a magnitude 1, 2.ou wherean barely even feel them. now, alaska averages about 40,000 y earthquakes ar. yes, 40,000. which is more an the other 49 states combined. today though can compare back to the impressive hurricane in 964, the strongest in u.s. history at 9.2 magnitude.

the teachers her in prince william county were noticing that students either were arriving late or go home late. and every student at this school has to come here by bus because of how the geography of the school district works. the reality is that the teachers wanted to step in and do something, so they are actually pulling double duty that has joinraising their hands to a new pilot program that has them going from the classroomo the driver's seat of a school bus. the idea for these tchers is that it will give them a lot more flexibility when it comes to field trips to after school activities and in addition to jumping in when the regular bus drivers are sic cand't do the day to day route. this is several weeks of training that they will g beng through, classroom training, they will have to learn what to look out for when it comes to issues on the bus and with the bus, popping theood, but they are ready for it and they say it gives them a little extra money.

where we're waiting for that warm air to get in here, it is a on event, a lot of times the warm air has trouble getting in here. so aot of computer models saying 70s, but i'll play it safe and say we'll be in the 60s. but either way, it will be comfortable out there on sunday. so getting the fretree, go satuy morning oron sunday after and it will be dry for the walk to end hiv. winter fest both saturday and sunday, and i would recommend going sunday. lo at the jump we're talking about in temperatures from 46 on saturday to 66 on sunday. the workweek, it starts pretty nice near 60 on monday. near 50 on tuesday. but notice the t trend, we're going down, 43 for a high on wednesday. friday, we are still dry, so the entire workweek is looking dry.
