off in silver spring. c instead, tld was discovered on the bus at the inner harbor in baltimore school officials are still trying to figure out how this happened. they say montgomery county schools actually bus in some students fro baltimore city. they suspect when the rockville student did not get off at the right op, the bus continued on to baltimore. now to a federal civil lawsuit filed against the princ george's county police department. 13 officers accuse department leadership of discrimination and retaliation. the officers say there's discrimination between white and black officers. some were unfairly disciplined and terminated.nt former and c officers say the racial divide within the police department makes it difficult for them to be effective. ince george's county police say they cannotau comment becse of pending litwsation. ne4's megan mcgrath is working.he story for us she'll have much more on this coming up in the next half hour. your time now,4:34. here's a look at

cooom. the judge presiding over the case told cohen he had lost his moralhe compass som down the line. he then sentenced cohen to three years in prison and fined him $50,000. in response, cohen told the judge his, quote, blind loyalty to trump led him to cover-up his dirty deeds. he said he tried to fix his mistakes by cooperating with this investigation. >> tracie potts joins us from capitol hill. what does yesterday's sentence for cohen mean trump and robert mueller's investigation? >> right, that's the big question. we haven't heard a wordenrom prestrump so far on twitter or in person. but it could raise potential legal problems because cohen's going toail because, in part, he pointed fingers at president trump saying he directed those hush money payments to women and that a lot of what he was doing was toover up for president trump, as he said in court. so is there anything that robert mueller could use from that in

lieutenant kevinherman is one of the members declared dead. y he was 38rs old and leaves behind a wife and three children. herman attended hilton high cihool in dale , and his parents live in stafford. a florida judge has awarded the parents of a groupf marjory stoneman douglas high school students a victory. he refused to dismiss a lawsuit file against the high school resource officer scott peterson. he was on duty the day a gunman opened fire in that school, killing 17 people. he's being sued forby negligenc parents who say he didn't do enough to stop the gunman. peterson says he had no legal duty to do so. the judge disagreed, saying as a sworn deputy and the only armed guard on the campus, he was obligated to go after the gunman. new this morning, nged in the classroom. it's happening to hundreds of local students when it comes to learning science a social studies. scott macfarlane and the news 4

i-team take a closer look. >> reporter: we found d.c. public schools violating t ir ownrequirements, not giving ough cla time in science and social studies to students in at least four middle schools. d.c. officials familiar with the issue tell the i-team the school district made the changes because of problems with budgets, resources, and pressure to boost math and english scores. the impacted schools include kelly miller, brookland, eliot-hine, and cardoza. the time is instead used for otherore subjects. experts and parents say this must be fixed. 20 middle schools, dozens of schools in the district, and the ones where they seem to have trouble giving the curriculum the right way is at the school where is there's the least economically advantaged kids. that bother you? >> it bothers me tremendously.
