>> reporter: this morning there's growing outrage over the death of a7-year-old guatemalan girl in u.s. custody. the new face of what s ae calling a humanitarian crisis. jakelin and her father were one of 163 w migrant crossed illegally earlier this month. she started vomiting and had a hi fever. she was being taken by bus to a border patrol station 95 miles away. by the time she a arrived got pdical attention, customs and bordertection said she had topped breathing. she was airlifto a hospital in el pas where the department of homeland security said she died the next oorning sepsis shock. after her death, according to her father, jakelin had not been able to consume water or food for days. advocates and an attorney for e father now dispute that. >> she had not suffered from a lack of water or food prior to approaching the border. >> reporter: in rural guatemala,
