release programs . it would give judges more leeway on mandatory minimum sentences for non-violent drug offenders. it followed a united push by conservatives, by liberals, activists. you remember kim kardashian was heavily pushing for this. it's now in the house's hands. it's likely the house will pass this. the president says he lfoks ard to signing it. h all right. peter at the whise. thanks. >> a rare moment. republicans and democrats agreeing. unexpected drama in cou for michael flynn. his sentencing was postponed yesterday after a harsh tongue lashing from the judge. nbc's justi correspondent pete williams has the details. pete, i'll use a legal term. this was a shocker. here the prosecutors come in, they have made this deal with michael flynn he has cooperated with them. he pleaded guilty. he asked for probation. prosecutors said, okay, probation is fine with us. and then the judge said not so fast? >> right. this was a reminder that judges

do the sentencing, not the prosecutors and defense it was breathtaking to hear judge sullivan express what he called disgust and disdain for what michael flynn had pleaded ailty to doing. the judge evened at one point if mueller's team ever consynered charging with treason. that was a bit of a shock. i think there is another way of looking at this. judge sullivan wasbl pro doing michael flynn a favor by suggesting that if he went ahead with the sentencingnow, it was going to mean some prison time. and after the judge repeatedly sent that signal. the defense took the hint an asked for a postponement. >> what are we expecting? do you think micha flynn can avoid prison time? >> possible. the judge seemed to leave that tor open sayingt if he cooperates more with the prosecutors, that could make things much better at sentencing. but here is the challenge for general flynn. he has met with the mueller team 19 times. remember, heleaded guilty a year ago. it would seem mueller vie that effort pretty much over with or

there. we will talk about parmesan, mozzarla, hot pepper, and a little bit of brown butter. this is a modeled version of a northern italian classic. >> we have the butter here. we are going to fry some herbs into tha butter. >> frying the herbs? >> yeah it gets crispy. rosemary and sage. the butr is browned. we put everything to the. chopped bck truffle. you can get canned. this is fresh black truffle. i take the herbs, parmesan, black pepper a chili flakes. put all of that in together. >> if you don't want to spend the money on the black truffles? >> do without it. it's fine. it's ten dollars for a can of black truffles. you can buy them at fancy food stores. >> like whole foods or something? >> yeah, definitely. we will mix that together make
