chris lawrence is in the neighborhood now outside of the store with the latest on this. chris. >> right now, aaecn, dves are looking over some of the footage from the security cameras to try to piece together who did this. it was pretty brazen. let me letak you a look inside. looking at this, just a good thing that no manager or employee was working because this u-haul truck literally just plowed right through the back o the store. completely smashed through the back wall. you could see the medal and glass and the interior wall and the store part of it. i want to giveetou ar idea of how this happened. police think at this point, the thief stole a u-haul truck. you could see it backed right into the store to gain access. smashed through the or. they apparently grabbed as many cell phones, accessories as they could and just took off leaving

the u-haul behind. that was eventuallytowed out of here and as we come back here ouve. i want to show up there, you can see one of the cameras right above there. we're at the south dakota crossing at south dakota and new york avenue. this is where you have the lowe's and costco, so you have a lot of cameras. there is foot computage of what happened here and right now police are looking at that to try to piece together who may have done this. >> it's 6:. developing in prince george's county this morning, hours after a deadly double icshooting, p are still working to find more clues about the shooter. this bullet-riddled car was found on t 5,900 block of surks, ar surratts village drive. one person was shot several times in that car and later another walked to a nearby hospital with several gunshot wounds and also died.

a source close to the investigation told news 4 that the two deaths are connected but would not say how. investigators are still trying to find out where the shooting may have happened. so far no information has been released. this morning a young woman is recovering after being shot inoutheast d. this happened yesterday afternoon near the interception of galen and green streets. she was standing with a group of people whenhe washit. police are still working to o figuut who was the intended target. neighbors are worried about the violence and how it could impact their community. >> can't even walk in your community. it makes you sad as an adult, as a parent. my heart is hurting. i'm just glad that no o l. t their life >> police have not made any arrests in this case but they isay the woman expected to

survive. >> less than 24 hours ago, the 116th congress was called into ssion andmmediately began work on ending the partial government shutdown now in it's 14th day. last night the house now controlled by democrats passed two bills that would reopen the federal government but neither included funding for a border mall which s the cause of the gridlock. >> neither bill is expected to pass the senatr be signed by the president. congressional leaders will head back to diskusds othcuss other . president trump says he will not sign any bill that doesn't ainclude money for wall along the border. we have been talking about the federal workers whose lives have been left i limbo the past couple of weeks, but this is also having a trickle down effect across the region. she doesn't wk for the government, but she does rent out rooms in her home to federal workers. she doesn't get paid between semesters so this is her extra income we're talking about.

welcome back. one guy' defiance saved his family from a burning house. against his mother's orders he binge watched the flash instead of going to bed. early in the morning around 1:00 a.m. he heard something break. a fire started in an usoved power strip. he was able to wake his mother up and get them both out of the house just in time. >> i saw smoke in my hallway and then i saw thefire.

at locationsithin fair oaks mall and other shopping areas in our region take a look at this video here. this will give you an ideaf st how small this camera is. about a half an inch wide. so very, very tiny. hard to spot. arrested in this case is the 39-year-old. some may know him as a bar tender in alexandria. last year he was profiled in the crier. police say he would wait in a dressing room stall. wait for women to enter the stall next to him whe he installed the camera. investigators say he watched and made recordings from mid december until christmas eve. theeight ofhe shopping center. now christmas eve, that's when an alert teenage spotted the tiny camera and told a store employee. police say that there are at least dozens of victims. >> this young lady on christmas eve saw something that didn't seem right and took the right step. >> to date we have over 60
