20s wednesday, thursday and friday. that sets the stage for the snow potential. much more on this in about 15 minutes. now to what appears to be a disturbing crime of passion. a man stabbed 47 times. the victim found this past nday inside hispartment complex in d.c.'s cathedral height's neighborhood. pat collins joins us with newat infon about this case. pat? >> reporr: more than 40 stab wounds here. blood all over the place. theurder at garfield house. a murder beyond death itself. the victim, 36-year-old vongell lugo. found dead inside his second floor apartment at th garfield house. a complex close by the national cathedral. according to court records he was stabbed 47 times. 40 stab wounds to the neck and

chest, seven to the abdomen. his naked body found in the hallway of his apartment. the murder suspect identified as 26-year-old collin potter, a avy corpsman assigned to quantico. he was found naked on the scene by police. friends say vongell lugo was openly gay. police are ding this as a domestic homicide. vongell lugo, he was an accomplished retail executive and for some time he ran the men's department at bloomingdale's in chevy chase. he was known and liked by people at garfield house. hear now from ann bissel she's lived here for more than 52 years. does he look familiar to you? >> of course. we all new him. it's not a very large building. so we're -- the community we're familiar with most people who

republicans agree that the shutdown needs to end. eyt they don't agree how to do it. ay this region, maryland, virginia, and the district, has more feder workers than anywhere else and they should not be left facing financial uncertainty. reporting from annapolis, chris gordon news4. our region isn't the only one with challenges because of the shutdown. about 200 federal employees hit the streets in philadelphia this rning. they rallied in front of the s berty bell chanting enough enough, stop the shutdown. here at home democrats are planning a protest rally for tomorrow, there will be a 7:00 p.m. rally in solidarity with federal workers, contractors and others impacted by the shutdown. we'll bring you coverage of that tomorrow night right here on news 4. police are canvassing an annandale neighborhood hoping to find a man who groped two little

snow are we going to be getting maybe 9 days out, it's saying 4 to 8 inches. seven days out, the app goes down tus ang to an inch. five days out the number changes again, o to three inches. most weather apps -- not ourse because update it personally -- look at computer data. no meteorologist is actually tweaking that forecast. now we have to talk about how we make a weather forecast. what we do is firstwe gather her data from across the world, mainly satellites and ground sensors. this is set into super computers and a forecast is most apps regurgitate that information. no meteorologist is actually analyzing and improving the w forecastch is the third and final step to actually making a forecast. so we, as scientists, know that 9, 5 even two days out from an event the forecast is stillvi ev and developing.
