2004, it came from a former priest who reached aettlement with the church in 2005 foby alleged abusccarrick. in a statement to nbc news, the archdiocese says that wuerl's previous statements about mccarrick referre to, quote, claims of sexual abuse of a sinor, night t minor, not the claade by the former priest. the archdiocese goes on to say the cardinal stands by those statements thatere not meant to be imprecise. >> maryland's att launching a new hotline for survivors to report abuse at a school or pce of worship. both virginia and the district created similar hot lines this pastall. unlike other states, maryland has not announced a official investigation into clergy sex abuse, but the general's office has publicly called for victims to come forward. i'm leon harris at the live desk with breaking news in a months-long mystery.

tomorrow. satellite and radar, not much in our area now. here is the storm that we're otwatching. af snow to places like denver, just to the south of denver,nd rather. aransas city and st. louis. st. louis, 8 to 12 inches of snow as it moves it 234 across the country here, moving right alo along 70 into our region by saturday, 2:00 on saturday. this is p the firstt of the system, the saturday part of the system, the one i have the most confidence in. moving in during the day on saturday afternoon. just about everybody seeing the snow. this is when we'll get accumulated snow around the d.c. metro area. the real questn comes in on sunday. notice how we get a little bit of a lull here. that's because the energy from the main storm is shifting off the coast. that may happen and it may actually pull a lot of this moisture down to the south, and we may not see much snow at all on sunday. now, this is the european model. notice what it does during the day on sunday, it keeps snoep in from d.c. to the south. that's why i have higher snow totals in places like fredericksburg, around frederick and d.c., not so much show at

all during the day on sunday. so, again, most of the snow is in the d.c. metrorea to the north is on saturday and on into yturday night. here arer snowfall totals. 1 to 3 inches in these areas. kind of leaning closer to 1 to 2 in much of this region. s, again, thedding may not be the best out there on saturday afternoon or really into sunday morning. 3 to 5 to the south. that is if the secondary wave can actually bring a little bit more snow updan s that was looking very likely earlier but looking a little less likelye now. so may have to lower those totals. chuck bell will have the latest forou tomorrow on that. now back to the west, 4 to 6 in the mountains. the mountains always get the most. that's where it will be. again, not a huge storm but it will have an impact on yr weekend. no impact on the nbc 4 health and fitness expo.e we will there on saturday, we will be there on sunday. so come down and seema us no er what's going on. low 30s saturday and sunday. i do expect to see some problems roads.y night on area heads up there.
