prince george's county police at the police station. michael ford was sentenced to nearly 200 yean in pri yesterday for firing at police. his brothers were also sentenced fo their part in all of this. prince george's county detective jacai colson was mistaken as the gunman because he was in plain clothes that day, and he was sh and killed by another officer. yesterday in court colson's parents said that officer should have been charged along with the ford brothers. bureau reports.cee wilkins >> everything i own in this car except electronics, elijah you have first dips on it. >> reporter: this is michael ford's will moments before he opens fir a on police station. his brother malik directs him toward the police station. > the station around the corner. >> reporter: ford begins firing and challenging officers to come out in what he s was an attempt at suicide by cop. but ford also fires at a passin

car. he then shoots at a passing ambulance. none of those civilians are injured. now officer jacai colson is on the scene and exchanges fire with ford. his brothers begin to cry when michael is shot and hits the ground. ford is on the ground as police approach. 30 secondslater, there are additional shots. officer taylor kraus shooting at detective colson, killing him with one shot. his parents told him he was shot at mistake during the shootout. the family claims colson was holding his badge and saying he was police when he was shot. in courtye erday, mrs. colson says i do not for the life of me understand why officer taylor krause killed my son. i have come to the realization
