weekend keeping a close the weather and all the conditions. for updates, just open up our app. jim? breaking right now, a bombshell new report tonight revealing that mitchel wasin stigated by the fbi while in office over whether he was secrly working for russia. according to "the new york times," law enforcement officials became so concerned abt the president's behavior in the days after he fired jame, cohe fbi opened a counterinteliggence inveion to determine if president trump was working on behalf of russia. against american intests. that was back in may of 2017. "the times" report agents had first become suspicious of mr. during ties to russia the 2016 campaign, but held off on opening an iestigation. in response to the article tonight, white house spokperson sarah sanders saying, "this is absurd."

it's a miracle many worried wouldever come. after months of searching, missing 13-year-old jayme closs was found alive in about an hour from home. >> it's amazing. police have been searching sincr they found parents dead inside their home. now it's believed that she was targeted. nbc's chris pollone has the latest. >> reporter: for 88 days, wisconsin teenager jayme closs is safe. >> it was only a few months ago thate as a community gathered to pray for jayme's safe return. god haswe ad those prayers. >> reporter: investigators sayc

s was found thursday afternoon in douglas county, wisconsin, about 70 miles from her home. shero emerged the woods and approached a woman walking her dog. >> she jus i said, lost i don't know where i am. as i got closer to her, she sort of fello me and told me who she was. >> reporter: closs disappeared ago. months sheriffs deputies rushed to her barron, wisconsin home after getting a 911 call from her mother's cell phone. when they got there, closs' mother denise and father james had been shot. there waso sign of the 13-year-old. now 21-year-old jake patterson is in jail, charged with two counts of intentional homicide and one count of kidnapping. investigators say they b patterson targeted closs but it's not clear how he knew of her. >> we have recovered a gun consistent with what was used at the scene of the initial homicide. >> reporter: deputies arrested sstterson shortly after c was found. they believe he was out looking for her at the te. they say patterson went to great lengths not to leave evidence at
