fairfax county public schools holding a second hiring event tomorrow for furloughed federal workers. the school system is looking for substitute teachers. if applicants clear background checks they could be in a classroom earning a paycheck as early as next we registration for tomorrow's event is already filling up, but they're considering hosting a third job fair given the demand. a much-neeutd night for some federal workers in the district. the duplex diner on u street offering a free meal f furloughed employees tonight. they also threw in a free glass of wine. the restaurant says they had enough food to feeup to 150 people. this is one of many events we've seen all across the region to help federal workers who aren't ing paychecks right now. new at 11:00 a local youth hockey team is hanging out with the capitals this evening. >> the players stood up for one

bethesda. this was a big storm. it is now out of here and everybody wondering what's happening next. nothing around our area tonight. clear skies. that's goingo be the case for the next couple days. look at the country here. we are high and dry everywhere. the only exception,california. that's the storm for thursday into friday. that's going to make a little bitf a difference but that's not the big one. the big one is saturday into sunday.is here it this shows you just how big it is. from north dakota all the way down to the gulf of mexico, you can see the rain and snowci ased with this. i continue to watch more and more of the latest models. we may start off with snow, maybe a mix saturday at 2:00. watc what happens here a there's a lot of agreement with the models this time around. rain. that's what we'll deal with most of the day on saturday intond . now, sunday the cold air comes in.
