sanpedro. some boarded buses while others are making the journey on foot. closer look has a at the impact of the shutdown on workers and government services. reporter: shutdown day 25 and two of the country's biggest airports are this morning dealing with their own shutdowns. tsa checkpoints at houston and atlanta, closed. >> we had to come here like two hours before. >> reporter: the bottleneck leading to 90 minute lines stretching all the way to baggage claims in atlanta as more and morsa officers working without pay call in sick. >> that's ridiculous. this is 2019. you do a and you get paid for that job. >> reporter: the tsa sick rate 7.6% on monday, more than double a year ago. many screening officers struggling to make ends meet now choosing to startoong for second jobs. >> a lot of people call me to confide in meou and,now, say, hey, i don't know how i'm going to make it to work. i don't have any more gas.

most of the staff there furloughed, there was no oneo cook for the recent college football championship clemson tigers who were invited on monday to celeenate. presidtrump decided to order in fast food, lots of it, stacks of burgers, fries and chicken nuggets that he says he personally paid for out of his own pocket. >> because there's a shutdown, as you know,e have the great clemson team with us, the national champions, so we went out and we order american fast food paid for by me. lots of hamburgers, lots of pizza. i think they'd like it better than anythg we could give. >> the president did not reveal how much all that fast food cost him. >> every little bit adds up. from government jobs to the classrooms, fairf county is holding another job fare today for furloughed workers after seeing a large turnout for the first one last week. they're looking for substitute teachers and if applicants clear

we are back now with o road overage of dicey conditions. >> lookt a that. here's molette green way look at the streets in prince george's county. >> reporter: it's the side streets and the sidewalks that have been the big concern today on this day after the snowstorm of 2019. as you can see,his sidewalk is pretty good butome people are going to have to walk in the streets because you get on to this part of the sidewalk where it's much more slushy and icy and you can see that road crews havereated it a little bit but as you go down here, you got more ice,ou have to take your time because the concern is that you'll fall and hurt yourself. the good thing is, in prince george's county and we're in the

some southern californi communities ravaged by wildfires last year are bracing for a new danger. heavy rgns yesterday bringin the threat of mudslides. you'll remember most of the area was impacted by the fires. a small mudslide sent debris crashing into encino. a portion of the hollywood hills also collapsed because of the rain more storms are expected throughout the week. >> a lot of folks wondering just how much melting w can expect through the afternoon. >> i think we're going to see some significant melting today and tomorrow combined, but that being said, theaw areas that the most snow, this includes washington, montgomery county and howard counties. you'll still have snow on the ground and for the storm saturday and sunday, potentially a lot of moistur guys soe could be dealing, heads up, with some flooding issues out there later saturday into sunday. inddition to that, it was cold
