into some sort of confrontation before that spect was shot and killed. then they taped off the area just behind me here as they tried to figure o if this guy had a bomb. this wasn't the scene anyone expected to see while trying to get to work this morning in downtown silver spring. >> i guess crazy things happen. it sounds like something from a movie. >> i looked up and i seen so many police officers coming down. 11:00 when dozens of montgomery county police officers surroundedain avenue, blocking off parts of coalsville road after a gunman tried robbing the bb&t bank. >> walked into the bank manager's office, stated he had a bom in his backpack, he alsop liftedis coat and displayed a handgun. >> the assistant police chief says the suspect demanded $20,000 in cash. but the manager managed to hit the panic button to alert police, and the suspect took

developing tonight, the prince george's county governor is facing a mlawsuit. more on the claims of prisoner abuse. >> reporter: the prince george's correctional facility under fire alleging prisoner abuse on behalf of carter says during her detention she was targeted, attacked punishednd subjected to mainhune and dangerous conditions by the dftsz. the suit goes onto name correctiheal officers and jail directly saying ms. carter was unjustifiay placed in four point restraints by correctional officers, physically attacked by another and forced t urinate herself while shackled to the bench in her cell. appened while she was held for one night in 2017. the suit goes onto say carter

was punched in the face while shackled. according to the suit the punch to ms.er ca face required meical attention. her wrists were injured by the restraints and two weeks after her release ms.arter suffered miscarriage caused by stress associated with the assault. in a stement her attorney says the county's mistreatment of ms. carter is not an aberration. it is part of a systemic pattern and practice of using excessive force ainst detainees and subjecting them to neinhu conditions. the county must be held aciountable for its a and those of its employees. a okesperson with prince george's county jail tells me they cannot comment on this lawsuit. >> the lawsuit goes onto name a number of oth incidents naming correctional officers at the jail accused of assault andot properly disciplined. the jail refused to comment because of pending litigation. day 26 of a partial

a crash that killed a young father in prince william county. police say 19-year-old nholas holbrook was behind had wheel when his car veered off the road last month. he hit two trees. that crash killed edgar who was a passenger in the car. police believe he was speeding. he's charged with reckless driving and underage possession of alcohol. it's unclear if he'd been drinking at the time of the crash. all right, let's get to this netflix movie that so many people are talk about. it's a thriller. it's "bird box." you may have heard about it. some fans may be going too far. >> people are performing dangerous pranks, pranks that haveoutube now banning certain contents. >> so youtube is basically saying you've got two months to cleanup your act our else. in the netflix movie bird box characters escape death byri cove their eyes. people have started up loading
