could ad to a breach of the lease. the hotel's lease bars any elected official from benefitting from the hotel. also, the constitution prohibits public officials from receiving gifts and things of value from foreign rulers, but foreign leaders often stay at the hotel. the gsa will legally review the case. tonight, president trump has signed a billawinto allowing furloughed federal workers to receive backed pay after the shutdown ends. meanwhige tonht, the president hasn't said anything about request to reschedule this month's state of the union address. house speaker nancy pelosi sent him a letter toda citing security concerns because of the shutdown, and today some of thosey affected the shutdown are furloughed federal contractors who took part in a roundtable that included maryland democratic senators chris van hollen and ben cardin. >> we don't know how we're going to get our rent paid next month. i got a utility bill right here

major weather events. tomorrow between 4:00 and 7:00, rain and snow moves into the area. it moves down very early friday morning, between about 2:00 and 6:00 we'll see around 3 inches or less of snow. i'm going to have the snowfall totals map coming upst in j little bit. i do think we'll see some school delays out there friday morning especially north and west of washington, based on the latest forecast. then we head on into your weekend. tracking rain and a wintery mix moving in later saturday during the afternoon hours, we see all night.turday that mix changes over to plain rain as the temperature is actually warm and it ends as rain, maybe a bit of heavy snow as arctic air still moves into the area. his storm system, though, is evolving. bottom line, the weekend, especially sunday, is looking and then sunday night into monday, check out the feels like temperatures. anywhere from minus 10 to 10 above so dangerous cold air for your martin luther king jr. day. here ar school outlooks for tomorrow and friday.

heading to school tomorrow, some icy spots out there but not a huge deal. pretty low impact. after-school actives tomorrow possibly cancelled with that rain and snow. school on friday, i think see some delays out there. here is future weather, 4:00 p.m. notice snow around i-81. rain in mixes innd ar midnight especially along and east of i-95. down through southern maryland,h around an ir less, upper montgomery, loudoun, northern faulk ear, frederick as well as virginia will see 1 to 3 inches. i think this is where we were most likly see delays out there friday morning. then as we look to the weekend, again it's not a snowstorm, but more so rain. it could begin as a m wintery and end as a bit of a wintery mix. when we talk about rain, though, a lot of it in the forecast, around an ich maybe. that could lead to some flooding concerns with all the snow out
