scene with a d.c. radio reporter turned hero. just as soon as w get nearly all cleaned up from last weekend's storm, here we go again. another one is moving in.ar leons here. >> i'm pat lawson, take a look at the radar right now. rain and snow showers likely to impact tonight's evening commute and schools could be impacted tomorrow. >> all of thisthust part o story. >> our storm team 4 team coveraff kicks right now. amelia draper is in the storm center with a look at what's ahead. amelia. >> the national weather service has issued a winter weather advisory for the entire d.c. rea from fauquier county and areas to the north. i think the biggest impacts are areas north and west of the metro area. regardless, everyone in purple is under a winter weather advisory until 4:00 a.m. on friday. this is a low impact storm but

because of the timing during the evening commute and potentially slick spots in the morning we'll be all over it throughout the night and chuck is in tomorrow morning. we ale tomorrow morning see some delays, especially north and west of washington. i'll have my snow falls total map around 4:20. here's thet lat on storm team 4 radar, indicating the potential for flurries falling. the latest check, t atmosphere still a little bit dry, so over the next couple of hours as the storm system continues to move in, we'll see rai and snow nhowers out there. 5:00 p.m. snow parts of washington, frederick, loudon countys. the temperatures still mainly abovfreezing. as the sun sets we fall to right around freezing so that could lead to slick spots, especially the untreated roads. as we head into the overnight hours we continue to see rain

but so much has been put on the roads after the weekend, that ih don't see m sticking. we're at 36 degrees, that is good news also. but the concern is once the sun goes down, anything that falls uld stick to theground. it is starting to snow in the front royalaire. we're expecting it to push closer to the d.c. metro area in the next couple hours. we'll give you loo at it all evening as we're out here. as look at our snowfall totals for tonight's event. you c see the d.c. and baltimore metro area down through southerarand an inch or less. so potentially no accumulation. upper montgomery, low don, you n see o to three inches. if you're in that area i think you have ther best chance e kids to see a two hour delay tomorrow mornin here's where the snow is right now. adam is right here.

loss. >> reporter: you'll remember the tragedy right awa when i remind you about the victims. the father came to this country from vietnam decades ago, an immigrant success store. his named his kids america and virginia. america was found dead with him. the other half of the family, mom and daughter, got the devastating news while they were in vietnam visiting a sick relative. now with the killer or killers still at large, the women asked us to shield their faces fearful for their safety. >> every day i wake up, always thinking about it over and over inmind. i cannot sleep. i cannot eat. i don't want my daughter worry about me.
