meanwhile, the relationship between the president and the speaker of the house has hit another low point. a day after nancy pelosi suggest that the president postpone his state of the union address, he canceled a working trip to afghanistan that lawmakers were going to take. he refused to let them take a government plane, saying she should stay in town and work on a deal. the shutdown is having a major financial impact on public transportation in the district. the agen is losing $400,000 a day. scott tells us how badly metro is being hit. >> reporter: cgress ordered metro toboro deuce an analysis to find out what the impacts on d.c. metro bus and metro rail of the shutdown. the numbers are in and they are metrimates it is losing elarge. $400,000 a day because of the shutdown, citing reduced parking
