numbers show the virus is quickly spreading across the country. news 4's doreen gentzler is working for your health, to brk down the findings. >> reporter: centers for disease control and preventionri s new information about the flu season, which continues to be d news. more than 9 million people nationwide have already gotten theflu. about half of them went to the doctor looking for relief. more than 11e 000 people h been so sick, they've been hospitalized. sadly, 19 american children have died from the flu so far. s despite thew start to the season, the flu is widespread in 30 states, anditsual late january or february. we expect to see more cases developing over the next few weeks. reaction nowrom nbc news medical correspondent dr. john storres. >> fson has actually not peaked yet. this is a slow starting season. it is goi to be over the next few weeks and maybe month, month and a half, that we keep having more and me flu.
