unfolded tonight at inova fairfax hospital. jackie bensen is on the scene to tell us what's happening. jackie? >> reporter: well, bizarre is a very good way to describe it. this shooting actually happened at a doctor's medical office associated with the hospital that's just across gallos road. we're told earlier this evening, a patient there, a man described as a patient shot himself in the neck. now, there was a period obviously when 911 was called and first responding offic arrived where they were not sure of this man's status. whether heas still in that building. whether he possiblyd inteno shoot anyone else. as they put the pieces of this together. now, i can tell you that within a fairly sho t timey were able to transport the man, get him in an ambulance, bring him here to the emergency room at inov fairfax hospital. his name has not been released. we do not have a lot of

another veryold night across our region. not as cold as the last two but even still quite cold when you wake up tom we're tracking a storm system right now. not much goiik on. looks l snow and maybe flurries here. that's about it. all part of a system moving our way. you can see the cloud cover coming on in. here is the storm back to the west. from canada north of the great lakeall the way down to the gulf of mexico, this is another very large storm. it brought bliard conditions towards denver earlier today. moving over towards kansas city, parts of chicago seeing the snow. look at the rain making its way straight out of the gulf of mexico. that tells you very warm, moist gair is movur way, too. that's why i'm talking about those winds out of the south bringing us t much warmer temperatures over the next 24 to really 36 hours or smo ow, though, through 5:00, i expect this to be try. i don't expect any rain really before the sun goes down. maybe a couple of showerat but it. the rain really moves in after about 9:00. a few showers, but once again, it's around midnight tomorrow

night that the rain moves in. it gets heavy at times overnight into early thursday morning. look at thursday morning, 5k0 a.m., l at the line developing here. this is such a strong storm. we could see a lineea ofer showers move through, maybe even thunder and lightning, not a lot. could be 40 miles per hour or higher on thursday morning as that system moves through. still seeing the rain by 10:00 a.m. then it moves out. the temperatures on thursday morning, 50s, but by the late afternoon, we're back into the 30s with the temperatures really falling. 50 degrees tomorrow.om that's reallyrow night as temperatures will warm through the day. mndy and warmer. raines in late in the day. what to expect,in though. rrives -- heaviest during the thursday morning rush. that thursday morning rush could be aig problem. another inch of rain. we've seen so many storms with an inch of rain over the last ye. stronginds will be possible. again, that's something i'm going to be tracking very closely.
