ar scott mane with breaking news at the live desk. for the first time in 3 the day government shutdown, there is some movement. we learned the senate majority leader, mick mulvanh connell an senate minority leader, chuck schumer are meeting right now to work out a deal to keep the government open for three weeks. let's give you a live picture at the white house. where the final decision will be made. the press secretary sarah sanders said the president would for a three-week continuing resolution if there is a downpayment on some type of border fencing or border wall. that's likely the focal point of th notionegotiations right now. but if the deal is cut, the government could reopen for three weeks.

thekend, amelia, it's not all that bad. great weekend to doaybe some skiing? >> absolutely. finally a nicehi weekend t the slopes around here. the past two weekende' been dealing with weather. it hasn't been since the first weekend in january the area has been dry. on your saturday waking up to mostly sunny skies, it's chilly, 26 degrees but it's winter. we notice more clouder cover l in the day. and a high on saturday near 40 degrees. sunday clouds increase throughout the day and we finish off the day mostlycloudy, starting off at 8:00 on sunday around 30 and your high on sunday near 50 degrees. most of us are dry, the chance for some snowk showers b over the mountains on sunday. most of us in the d.c. metro area, the weather having a low impact on your weekend. outdoor exerci, good for saturday and sunday.
