a witness told 911, a car crashed into several parked pars on the road. when detectives arrived on the scene, they found two men dead in the c that struck the others. police are not saying how the men died. four people escaped a fire in a house in germantown. neighbors had to be evacuated from their homes. no serious injuries here. but several families have been displaced. some of the most popular spots in d.c that were closed as part of the national shutdown are reopening this mning. the national zoo andn he smithsonseums will reopen for the first time since the government shutdown. my daughter is extremely excited. she's been waiting for weeks to go to t museum of natural

the mayor about his plans to continue those maintenance hours. that means that riders should ar pr if his plan goes forward, that the system will continue to close early and open later. take a look. this is the kind of situation of what he was saying. he needs to avoid. this was the southst metro station a couple of years ago.u yo may remember an incident before sparks flew through that station. this is when the ceo first took over the system. mayor, s to tell the pa those were the bad old atdays. th's why longer maintenance hours need to continue. but d.c. workers say they would like to see late-night hours on the weekend to come back. you have a battle about keeping the system open later, which could attract more riders and help people get around late

of your screen and in the nbc washington happen. former trump campaign adviser, rer stone, will be arraigned in d.c. >> he faces several charges, including witness tempering, and obstruction and lying to congress. tracie potts has the latest on the investation. >> reporter: good morning. robert mueller's investigation n may be wrapp up, according to the acting attorney general. we don't have a firm date. he says they are nearing an end. a big pt of that investigation now, is long-time trump campaign viser, rogerone, facing the seven counts from a federal indictment. he will be in a district courtroom today to answer for that. stone says he has done nothing wrong. he knows of n one that did anything wrong on the campaign. he is accused of being a link between the campaign and wikilea wikileaks, the groups that t leaked democratic e-mails that were hacked byrussia.

"forbes" says he is worth $3.5 billion. that's more than president trump.pr thident tweeted about schultz, saying he doesn't have the guts to run for president. mike bloomberg tweeted he is considering running as an independent. but the independent would split the anti-trump vote and end up re-electing the presidt.

we told you about a day care fire in rockville. a fire destroyed a building at georgetown hill early school. that damaged classrooms, art supplies, cubbies where kids would hang their coats. the fire started in the office building and spread. damage is estimated at $750,000. we could see damage to the office area, as well. good news for teachers in virginia. the house appropriations committee will include a 5% pay raise in its budget. >> i know. you know. virginia can do better. i know. you know. virginia can do better. >> the news comes as teachers rallied at the state capitol yesterday fohigher spending on ucation. governor raffle northam supports the pay raise.
