lucky.e turning to our forecast now and meteorologist lauren rickets is in for chuck this morning. what's on tap, lauryn? >> on tap is pretty gusty winds in our area, aa an. afteut 8:00 a.m. is when you'll start to feel the winds pick up and they really don'tn die dntil the first part of tomorrow. we could have some gusts today up to 40, 50 miles an hour at times. specifically during the ternoon. now, we've got some bitterly cold wind chills as well tha e going to accompany these winds. not only today but also tonight and into gthursday. thd news is, if you want a little taste of spring, it's coming. this weekend into early next week the temperatures move right on u into the low 60s. it's going to feel nice, especially after tkeperatures this. single digits to the low 20s across the board right now. everybody belowhat freezing mark. so again, watch for slick spots out there. the crews did a fantastic job treating the boroughs overnight. the secondary roads, parking lots, driveways, sidewalks, be careful.

coming up. melissa has breaking traffic news. meliss >> that's right. take a look at this. chopper 4 over the top of the beltway this is outer loop at connecticut avenue. as we were approaching this crash we saw multiple othercr hes in the same area. brad is up in chopper tell us what's going on here because we have a lot of slow-downs haorening. >> rr: well, this is really just heated up up here in the past few minutes. were on ouray to the inner loop crash after 355 when we sac emer vehicles off in the distance. this is the outer loop after georgia avenue. you can see there are three right lanes blocked. one car facing the wrong way and soks like we don't have any tow trucks on thene yet. delays are going to build quickly here on the outer loop in silver spring. and then on the inner lp we had another one just after this cr now, i want to spin the camera around real quick and show you the inner loop after 355. that's seeing delays as well for a vehicle that s backwards on that route. so you're going to have problems

big changes for northern virginia drivers who deal with one of the most notorious bottlenecks in our area. we're talking about 95 south where the highway goes from fr lanes to three. you've been through there. asterday state leaders announced auxiliary lane will be built there and connect the ramp for 123 off ramp to the prince williampi parkway k some traffic off the main lanes of i-95. several others were announced as well. extending toll lanes to a fredericks bur extending the express lanes to the american legion bridge. a bit of a twitter fight bryce harper. the philadelphia police tweeted this picture of harper in uniform o the right hand side saying the rumors are true that coming tper is philadelphia police. it is a multi-year deal worth $51,245 to start with a city option to increase annually and they forwarded all questions about mani machado to the phill fire department. d.c. police responded. there's a tweet on the left. nice try, philly.
