think anybody was inside the home when this happened, but there's no word w yet ont may have sparked the fire. between that scene ino potomac just north from there in clarksburg, montgomery county fire crews stayed busy all morning. a town home caught fire overnight. chopper 4 over the scene of that fire that you can see. pretty big response there. officials at the scene believe an electrical issue was to blame for this one. everybodye the home at the time made it out safely and no one was hurt. right now the man convicted in the d.c. mansion murders is waiting to be sentenrad. fe prosecutors are asking the judge to send darryn wint away for four life sentences without theossibility of parole. his greed drove him tond kidnapping killing that family. meghan fitzgerald covered the case from the very beginning.

she is in the courtroom and will tweet out the sentence as soon as it happens. a d.c. teacher is out of the classroom afterlledly choking a student. jarvis teaches language arts. he was arrested a charged with second degree child cruelty. he's expected to make his first court appearance today. surveillance video apparently shows the incident with the student. the principal sent a letter home to parents saying that masonburg will remain on leave duringhe investigation. the news 4-team said he's been with the school since 2004. roger stone will be in federal court in d.c. the 66-year-old pleaded not guilty to seven counts incding lying to congress and witness tampering. stone is the sixth trump associate to be charged in connection with robert mueller's investigation into russian meddling in the 2016 election. prosecutorsnc ann yesterday that they had seized hard

welcome back. despite popular belief, cats can edbe tra to do things that dogs often do. the human rescue alliance is here to explain c aboutcker training and can you really do that with your cats. good morning, lisa. >> yes, this is davy. davy was actually adopted from the humane rescue alliance by me. > proof that it does work. >> ye so clicker training is something you do with all animals. it started with marine animals. you can clicker tin the cat, let the cat know that the behavior is what you wanted and it also predicts food coming. so things you can teach your cat

is, high-fives, chase yourl t or spin. a lot of cats don't like to go into carriers, so it's a really affective tool to teach your ca to go ie carrier to go to the vet. >> how long does it takera gey speaking? i always think of cats as being way more independent than dogs, but i guess if they're food motivated -- >> yes. finding the right motidtor. i uchicken. i have chicken right here in my training pouch and he'll work for chicken in most case he nervous here, so as long as you have a good food motivator then can pick up really quick. behaviors that are reinforced will be repeated. if they know they're going to get a piece of chicken, they'll do that behavior over and over over. >> cats love birds. >> good point. >> do you think it's a good thing to do?

it can have its benefits, is it something that would take a long time? is it hard? >> it's not hard at all. it's eas to do. the cats enjoy it so not only are you teaing them fun things to do like, who doesn't want a cat who high-fives. it makes them problem solve. it'sike mental stimulation for them, trying to figure out like how do i get that next piece of chicken. >> now, what have you beenble to teach davy? >> he knows high-five and spin and then we also are working on now going to a specifi place at home. he likes to try out the door csometimes. go outside but he has to be on a leash. i teach him to go to a specific place while i exit t door. >> you said he's a poly -- >> dactical. >> so he has extra toes on the front. is that common >> no. it's a genetic mutation that comes up now and again.
