history and are a, qu piercing reminder of america's since. >> i'm in the newsroom wnoh hern virginia reporter david culver. david, this news came as a shock to everybody in virginia pretty much, and you've been talking to your sources. what are you hearing? >> i've been making several phone calls and the reality is, doreen, this is very difficult because it's not onlyli somethi cal that they're trying to deal with, but for ilot of the folks close with governor ralph northam, this is about a friendship. incredibly likeable. has a great positive reputation amongst a lot of politicians and folks on the other side of the aisle who felt like this is somebody they can deal with. right now they spent much of the y in a huddle mode before they ame out with a statement acknowledging where things stand. it's a question if he's really searching for healing and how to move forward, what does thatik look that's the big question mark. does this mean a resignation? in which youould see lieutenant governor justin fairfax ascended to that position. ms >> it s he is in the most uncomfortable position of all in this. >> this is very tough for him.

with some friends. they say he came here to break up with his girlfriend. now, the two started guing, hitting each other outside the house. suddenly someone shoots a gun in the direction of the girlfriend outside.le tht missed her but went nto the home, hitting a relative. the relative was holding the child in her arms and they both fell on the ground. medics drove them both to a hospital. they're going to be okay. poli are questioning the girlfriend and right now they are searching for the boyfriende poave not released the names of the girlfriend, the boyfriend or the child. they have also not told us if this girlfriend the mother of the child. one thing is clear, however, thf end and his friends quickly drove away from this shooting.od after the that's why prince george's county police are searching for him and the friends. they doot mow who fired the shot. was the boyfriend or was it the boyfriend's friends? police are continuing to gather evidence on this case and theye urge any with information to call prince george's county police. in district heights, i'm shomari
