transmissions and national security. stacy abrams is going to deliver the democratic response to president trump's state of the union address. abrams is the former minority leader of the georgia house of representatives, she lost tight gubernatorial race andn se is ss a rising star of the democratic party. the state of the union usually doesn't happen in february. it was postponed at the request of nancy pelosi during the government shutdown she claimed there were security issues doing it during that time. now we are on the verge of another shutdown, the deadline for reaching an agreement on the border, the immigration funding coming up next friday. and as far as we'vehe d, there's very little progress. so there's a lot at stake tonight. i want to bring in n nbcews political director and the host ofck "meet the press," c todd. hello, chuck. good to see you. what are you expecting-
