goiner to continue to as long as he can govern. if he did step down, lieutenant governor justin fairfax would pl e him. if fairfax is not able to serve, it would go to aorney general rk herring. if all three are forced out, then, it falls to the speaker of the house, in this case, the republican kirk cox th hamptonoads area. and according to the constitution, if cox is unable to serve, the house of delegates would have to fill that vacancy. the same time, we're hearing from virginia's two senators, tim kaine. and they called for governor northam to resign after the scandal about the yearbook photos, the cist photos, about governor northam came to line. and senator skaine se needs more time to make a decision oether he would ask lieutenant governor fairfax the attorney he ral to step down or if thinks that should happen. in the meantime, he is standing by his call for the governor, ralph northam, to step down. the rest of us wait to see what the next shoe is to drop.
