the governorship are facing scandals of their own. this morning the virginia capital in crisis. with the commonwealth's governor and lieutenant governor facing a cloud of controversy, virginia's attorney general, second in succession admits he once wore black face. in a statement of apology he says he and group of college friends put on wigs and brown makeup to attend a party dressed like rappers. it comes as governor ralph northam barely hangs on to his job with this racist photo on his medicalacebook page. >> this week has just made m sick. it's just made me sick from friday to now, it'seen one bit of bad news after the next it's all been shocking and

surprising. >> reporter: those scandals making shockwaves. dr. vanessa tyson, a college professor saying in a statement that a 20 encounter with fairfax which s says started at kissing turned into sexual assault. fairfax who t has saidheir interaction was 100% consensual releasing a new statement of his own saying i wish her no harm or humiliation, nor do i see to denigrate her or diminish her voice. but i cannot agree with description of events that i know is not true. as the scandal spiraled, lawmakers frustrated. >> i'm trying to figure out the licts. i'm not c for anybody's resignation. i don't plan to. i need to learn what's going on andeople not to rush to judgment.

take down virginia's top three elected this morning governor ralph northam is still refusing to resign over a racist photo in his 1984 yearbook page. now virginia's attorney general mark herring admits he, too, once wore black ce. he said he and college friends attended a party, ote, dressed like rappers. a woman went public this week with detailed allegations of sexual asslt against lieutenant governor justin fairfax. a g5-year-oldl was pulled from the rubble of an apartment building i istanbul, turkey, 18 hours after the building collapsed. they loaded her to a stretcher and carried her to a waiting ambulance. that brings the total number of people rescued to 13. the eight-ory building collapsed on wednesday. it's unclear how many people are still unaccounted for. surveillance video captured the heart stoomingts when a train pulled away from a station with the father of a
