"news4 today" he and other leaders will be watching carefully to see if the governor's promise to address issues of race brings real change to ale common. the governor detailed some of his plans in that interview with the "post" tay which focused on racial equality. he says that he want to plement sensitivity training both in his government agencies and in schools across virginia. he also wanto address issues of inequality like health care, housing and transportation. the governor also addressed the scandal surrounding his lieutenanttiovernor j fairfax. fairfax is denying two sexual assault allegations. governor northam tells "the washingt post" "these allegations are horrific, need to be taken very seriously." lieutenant fairfax has suggested and called for an investigation. "i strongly support ththat." lieutenant governor is refusing to resign. last night virginia delegatek patrope of arlington county announced his plans to iroduce ars of impeachment against

fairfax if he doesn't resig by monday. chris pallone has more on the drama playing out tonight in richmond >> reporter: one week ago, justin fairfax appeared to be poised to become thern next go after the current leader apologized for this picture which appeared on his medical school yearbook page. now ralph northam is still in the governor's mansion and fampl is facing threats of impeachment. >> on monday, i intend to introduce articles of impeachment on lieutenantve gornor justin fairfax >> reporter: fairfax is now facing sexual assault accusations from two women, the latest from meredith watson who says he raped her in 2000 when they were students at duke university. to bolster her claim, her attorneys released what they say ar messages with her friends including an e-mail in whi watson wrote justin raped me in college. last week dr. vanessa tyson accused fairfax of assaulting her in 2004 at the democratic national convention in boston.
