we're following some breakingews in the district the this morning. a man was hit and killed by a car in northwest. this w at capitol street at florida avenue. the driver stayed on the scene. we' working to learn more about the man who was killed. it took firefighters hours to put out the flames of this house fire. this is right near i-66 and north glebe road. investigators believe the fire began in the basement that was under construction at the time. the house was unoccupied and no one was hurt. 6:33, developing this morning, a glimmer of hope for hundreds of thousands of federae workering another government shutdown. >> late last night, there was a word of a verbeement between lawmakers tasked with finding a solution to end the gridlock. the announcement coun't come at a better time. funding for one-third of the federal government runs out this friday. a congressional committee taskom with findingn ground on
