condition. and to put a further frame on this picture here the d.c. police chief says this 12-year-old boy is one of three children, at least three kids, who were shot in d.c. this year. he says all appear to be unintetsed tarn the wrong place at the wrong time. we were on the scene as investigators combed through dozens and dozens of shell sings found near an alley where the shooting took place. police say close to 7:00 p.m. not too far outside. and based owitness accounts and all of those casings, they believe multiple guns were used. >> whoever decided to open uphi fire on community, it doesn't look like this boy was involved. he was an unintended target. >> at last check, that boy is in critical condition. we're told he is stable, as
