chicago police are telling to hear from actor jussie smollett or from his lawyers after he -- about showing up because they need to interview him. investigators say they need a second interview with the "empire" star because they have questions about whether the actor paid two men to assault him. smollett said the two men yelled racist and homophobic slurs at him, poured bleach on him and put a noose around his neck. but last week two men were questioned, one with ties to the

we weren't sure. >> it was frightening. we have a storm coming. >> yeah, we do. >> tomorrow no problem at all. if you want to get to the store tomorrow, you can do that. you're not going anywhere onda wedn here's why. this is a classic pattern, what's called a coldir damming situation. you have high pressure to the north, in towards parts of the northeast, high pressure sitting in the northeast. you have an area of low pressure down to the south bringing in the .moistu the area of high pressure brings in the cold air andt leaves here, so as the storm system moves our way, it's trying to bring in the warm air but can't do so because the cold air is locked in place. that's why we see snow across the area for almost all morning wednesday. i the question how long is that cold air in place because the ice takes over in most locations. at 4:00, ice from d.c. to the north. this is significant ice event that could unfold here depending on sleet or freezingrain. that's the big concern right

now. or me it would be freezing rain, worse than sleet. sleet is what bounces out there. it on top of snow can give you traction where freezing rain does the exact opposite and makes things worst. by wednesday night, warmer air moves in and everybody goes to plain rain. we see temperatures rise wednesday night into thursday. tuesday night snow starts after midnight till about daybreak. sticks right ay. allorning it will be sticking to the roads too. accumulations likely 2 to 4 inches plus that's in the d.c. metro area and along6nd 50. north and west of that i'm going upwards of 4 to 6 inches in those areas. could be more in those regions, too. ednesday after, snow to mix, big impact on travel. ice to rain by late wednesday night into early thursday morning. here's the snowfall totals, 2 inches to the south.
