you come off of 270. baking news this morning. we're learning about another deadly crash on one of our most dangerous road >> justin finch is near the scene with more on this crash and the effort to make indian head safer. od morning. >> reporter: good morning. sadly, this death here makes the tenth death last month on a prince george's county road. and for indian head highway, is now the continuation of a dangerous and deadly trend we have seen over and ov again on this stretch of road here. enopper 4 up last night over that crash as you mentioned. barry road and route 210 here.e- thhicle crash that one man was killed. three e adults takn to hospital for treatments of their injuries. and that scene we've seen too often, on indian head highway.

passenger side when the suv hit several trees. the five children were all thrown from the suv. simon's mother says she is heartbroken she will never see her son again. >> my first child. os's 23 years old. i mean, what is su to be going through my mind? my child's gone. >> reporter: over the weekend, the funeral was held for the five chiren who died. the mother of two of the victims was the driver and the only person who survived that crash. today, teachers in west virginia are set to strike. this comes one yearir after t first walkout inspired a nationwide movement among teacrsunions. david culver is at the live desk with more on this. >> nearly all of west virginia 55 counties calling off classes today. teachers areoncerned about state legislation passed last

black ran up and startedsh ooting. it's unclear if the victim was the intended target. he was rushed to the hospital with a gunshot wound to the head. this area isan no strger to violence. last mont a 22-year-old man was shot and killed across the street. following a weekend interview that ignited a twitter storm, andrew mccabe will speak out addressing the revelation he had once taken part in a discussion about removing donald trump from office. president trump said mccabe's story was deranged. over the weekend, mccabe described the chaos at the justice department after president trump fired james comey last year. he noted escalating concerns about russia's influence on the president. he described a meeting in which orpresident trump insisted korea was not capable of hitting the u.s. with a ballistic missile because russian leader vladimir putin told him so.

more twists in the alleged attack against "empire" star, saissie smollett. now, his attorne he will not speak with investigators again. this refusal comes after the two brothers captured in surveillance video, they were wred by smollett to stagehat they called a hate crime. smollett's lawyers insist this is not a staged attack. the two men have ties to "empire." police say, one of them worked as an extra on the show. it's a well-known fact thatn cigarette smis bad for you. a rutger's university study compared those who smoked less than 16 cigarettes in their lives to those who smoke more than 20 a day. researchers foundeavy smokers had me trouble seeing subtles differencein contrasts and shades of colors. experts believe smoking affects

later today, we could learn the fate of onlineer betting in the district. we could learn the name of the company or learn what company would get the lucrati contract. rlier this month, the council fast tracked betting. that would bypass the bidding process and award the contract to the company tt runs d.c. lottery. if sports betting -- if it were to be delayed, that would cost the district millions of dollars in lost revenue. dhe opponents don't believe the contracts shoul be awarded like that. they think that competitive bitting makes sure that d.c. gets the best deal possible. the billwl nar passed on first reading. we'll see what happens later today. they are expected to vote on this legislation, the committee as a whole, at 11:00 a.m. >> thank you.

this is known as one of the most dangerous roads in our area. >> justi i finch live near the scene with more on this crash and the effort to make indian head highway safer. justin? >> reporter: that death last night on route 210en makes deaths on prince george's county roads so far this month. route 210, another life has been claimed. let's look a chopper 4 video from the wrecked scene last night, close to 11:00 p.m. this three-vehicle crash on barry road an mroute 210. on killed and three adults taken to treatment of their injuries, as well here, that death counts 60 cs people who have died on indian head highway in the past decade. we had five deaths n route210, including three that were
