passed, leon. ut yeah, what a twist here, as ji gm, tonight, jussie smollett is officially just that, a suspect. he is n charged with filing a false police report and expected to be in cou afternoon to face those charges. the bombshell coming after smollett claimed to be the victim of a hate crime. he claimed two men attack him last month yelling racial and putting alurs and noose around his neck. police tell nbc news that officers havelyssued r a dozen search warrants looking at smollett's phone and bank t records link those two men to the attack. surveillance shows these two men who happen to be brothers buying red hats a ski masks. the brothers say smollettem pai o stage the whole thing. >> fraud by mail. lying to police. terrorist threats byl mail. of these things are up in the air. >> it's not just the chicago issue tonight. smollett's attorneys released a statement saying they intend to

a lot of trees are weighed down right now. we could see downed branches ernight tonight and into the day tomorrow. heads up for that. we saw a lot of problems with that last week. as the storm system moves out, there is much warmer air back to the west. we're in the 50s here but it just can't cross over the mountains. we stay on the cler end of things. a dismal look at the airport night. over 200 flights cancelled too. 35 degrees. winds out of the north at 6le an hour. as long as we have that northerly flow, we're going to stay on the cooler sose a our region. otice 32 gaithersburg, manassas, down towards leesburg, 32 degrees. 33 in culpeper. look at huntingtown, also towards cam springs, both at 32 degrees. we have some ice somehow issues out there and that's why i really think tomorrow morning the impact is still gng to be back to our west. if you live south and east of d.c., really low impact of ice. we have seen a coating already in the areas in yelw.

to 1/4 inch in the red areas. maybe a little high towards 2/10 is what we're seeing so far. either way, this is the area you may have problems tomorrow morning. this is the area most schlols ared or delayed. widespread ice around those areas, especially the secondary roads. the main roads, no problem. most of thosen have b just fine all day, but especially north and west, t we'll continue to see the issues tomorrow. how about these temperatures tomorrow? 40s to.he nor we will see some sun as well as some clouds. but 50s to the south, 54, d.c. 56 frederitysburg. prig temperature range, 46 to 56. still much nicer than it has been acrossur region today. take a look at the next couple ofreays. 52 d and a chance of shower on friday but mostdr of 70% chance of rain. it's a cold rain, chilly rain, 46. we actually warm to 68.
