i'mal erika go. we'll show you skpaktly what we are talking about. winds could top 50 miles an hour for some of you, so that is ading to a storm team 4 weather alert for us to meteorologist somara theodore joins us. somara? >> this is going to be real talking tomorrow, taking precedent over the warm a moving in. you'd think we'd be talking about temperatures in the upper 60s. no, we are talking about winds topping 60 miles an hour. here's a look at the wind adsory that is for the entire area. this is really going to be possibly a trouble spot. frederick county, maryland. we do havh a h wind warning going into effect for you all tomorrow that means their winds could reach 60 miles per hour. for the rest of us, pbably reach 50 miles per hour in the d.c. metro area. or t could have some m impacts. we're going to talk about the impacts later for now, quick look at the radar soou can see what we're in for. notice the lull, the showers stting toick up back west, they're going to continue to push in and we're going to see rain overnight. later on in the show i'm going

to t talk to you abo timing of the rain when it's moving out, again, the major impacts this win sherifwill have on you sunday afternoon. erica? >> somara, thank a fran sick scene in silver spring. neighbors heard a come'ser dee cry for help as flames surrounded her. darcy spencer spoke to one of the firefeshters whoed the woman in an interview you will only see on news 4. darcy? >> reporter: well, erica, we are here at station 1in silver spring. some of the firefighters who were involved in that rescue have come back here to this station to get some rest, to relax, also to get cleaned up. they are being credited tonight with saving this woman's life. a woman was trapped in a fire here at her home on holman avenue in the forest glenn park community. ighbors saw smoke and heard the woman crying for help. captain tommy foster was among erthe firefig who rescued her. >> she was talking to us as we re moving her through the house. we couldn't see anything, but we

knew that she was still viable. >> reporter: firofficials say ere were hoarding conditions inside the home. that made it difficult for firefighters to get in and find her. >> thick, black, dark smoke, very toxic environment. it was hot, smokey, a she was unable to get out. >> reporter: the woman suffered smoke inhalation. she was taken to the hospital in serious condition. investigators found no working smoke detectors in the home. a second p hson w been there was able to escape on her own. >> it's pretty scary. i mean, you know, it sounds like sheas by herself, so i'm glad they were able to get her out in time. >> reporter: for foster and his crew, it's all in a day's work. but any day you save a life is a good day. >> a lot of guys on that fire did some fantastic things. it wasn't just me or the individuals i just described. it was 18 to 20 guys that all worked together to get it done. >> reporter: the good news is

s speculation growing tonight that maryland republican governor larry m hogan challenge president trump in the primary. today "the new york tim" sat down with the governor and he told them that the president's 2016in was a, quote, anomaly, and added more needs to be done with the gop'shrinking base, he said. he told the times in part, quote, i think there are a lot of republicans that are concerned about the future and tthat want us continue to be a bigger tent, and to reach a wider audience, and to not alienate people and not be as divisive, end quote. he praised the predent on the economy, but noted that, quote, we might differ on trade. we mht differn many other things. the governor spoke yesterday to news 4's chris gordon about a possible presidential run. >> it's not something i have any kind of of a time line on. i didn't say i wassidering it or thinking about it. i simply did not completely rule it out. >> governor hogan did say that he was pleased that the

advisory. wind will be strong no matter what so let's go ahead and take a look at how strong we're talking. frederick county maryland, this is you. 60 mile per hour gusts are possible tomorrow evening. for th rest of us, winds could reach 50 mil per hour. either way that could prove damaging. m going to dive deeper into the impact of winds. first let' geto active weather out there. not too active, but showers starting to move across. little wintry precip west of i-81. it will remain rain as it moves toward us. as this fills in we expect the elatively steady throughout the overnight hours. and you can see it move pretty quickly there. bu by 10:00 a.m., it clears the area. when it's all said and done we could be talking about an inch of rain throughout much of the region. 10:00 a.m. around brunch, notice a lot of clouds lingering in the wake of that rain. behind that we are dry and clear. a beautiful aflornoon. of sunshine, carrying all the way into monday morning.

but the w are going to be the talker. so here's a future regust. mber this is just a model, so it may not take it as high as it could possibly gotomorrow. but right now by the evening, that's when we're going to start to see those winds shooting up to around upper 30s as far as miles per hours go. and we move into monday morning. so i wouldn't be surprised if national weather service is extending a lot of these advisories and warnings, not only through monday morning, but possibly monday aeernoon becae're actually keeping those winds around for quite sometime. you see there 52 mile per hour wind gusts possible monday morning, and then as we into monday evening, that's when they'll start to die down. so here are the impacts from the wind thatca w expect. swaying trees in the areas with the wind advisory downed trees more probable the farther north and west you go. the farther north and west you goecially in the hyder teevation, that's where we could really see some scd power outages. and in areas like frederick county, maryland, or areas that st get hit with wind gusts, 50 plus mile per hourad
