today because of the strong and damaging winds outside. take a look at this sce here. residents in springfield woke up to this mess. the wind actually caused a brick wall to collapse. some hit parked cars >> and the viewer who sent this says it sounded like a tree had fallen, but this ishat they found instead. thankfully, doesn't sound like anyoneas injured. and all of the strong winds causing widespread power outages. this is a look at the latest numbers. 7,380 outages across d.c. and montgomery and prince georges. electric cooperative reporting 2,095 with most in warren county. dominion energy reporting 10,816 in northernur virginia. joins us with r more on when the wind will die down.

d.c. police are searching for the gunman in a deadly shothing off of 4lace southeast. police say a man was found dead in an alley last night. no word on a susct or motive. this was the second murd.c of the day 30-year-old david brandon was shot and killed after midnight on georgia avenue northwest in the petworth neighborhood. fairfax police are searching for a bank robber. the man may be armed with a gun. he robbed the td bank on little river turnpike. mark and amtrak train service is back to normal after someone was hit and killed by a a train. thpened near the university train station around 8:30 last night. mark says the person was trespassing when the accident happened. passengers were stuck on the train for hours as police conducted their investigatn. the train started moving again just after midnight. make sure to lock your doors in the district. you don't seem like you have to say that, but you do.
