later this morning, the trial of a man charged with raping, robbing and killing an artist who was worllng in d.c. esume. el hadji tore toure was acced of killing corrina mehiel in 2017. prosecutors claimed pictures and dna connected him to the crime. investigators say after the stabbing, he took her car and used her dit card at atms roughout maryland and virginia. the defense says toure is innocent and police did not do a thorough job of finding the real suspect. r. kelly is a free man this morning. after spending the w in jail, the singer was released after posting bond. in court, he pleaded not guilty to severalseexual aharges involving minors. an attorney representing two of the victims says he believes more charges will be filed against kelly in t coming week the singer denies all of the on accusatis against him. new england patriots owner, robert kraft isia offy

we're tracking some breaking news out of oregon. more than 180 people aretuck on an amtrak train that hasn't moved in more than 30 hours. the train was traveling from seattle to los angeles when it a hit a tree thafallen on the tracks. this photo from passengers shows e area the train is stranded in. amtrak kept everyone on the train because power is out i the nearest town. a intenance crew is not expected to arrive until 90 this morning. we're told there is food on the train. passengers are being fed. we'll keep you updated as we get information on this. today, house democrats will use their new majority to stop the president's efforts to build a wall on the u.s./mexico border. the house will vote to block the president's emergency declaration. it is expected to pass the house. we'll check in with kristen welker at the white house as
