could be a morning commute. storm team 4 meteorologist leads our live team coverage tonight. >> that's right. for someusf it will just be wet but for a few of us it could be very icynd that could mean delays. take a look at the radar. what i wantou guys to know is we're on the tale end of this. so this is the last of it. e final of the precip line just to the west of frederick into washington county. it's goingo continue t move toward the northeast and move out of the area. p allhas been the set night long. areas touching pennsylvania border are the ones seeing snow. again, becoming sparse in frederick county maryland, the last of it pushing through right now. we head farther south. rain falling in the district. still down toward prince william. we were actuallin s some deep yellows and oranges meaning we're picking up moderateo heavy rain. now as we head throughout the evening, i mean, the overnight hours, i'll talk to you about how your commute is loaning.

we look at the totals we have been seeing coming in. expected frostburg, maryland, thurmont, frerick at about .3 inches. s'll look at the latest update coming up but i'l that a lot of it is turning to slush the farther north asn that r and snow line increases further north. >> all right. you really had to go outside of the beltway to find more than rain tonight and in frederick county they actually saw a little bit of everything. a little bit of mix of everything including the snow. along jacobs is live route 85 for us with a look at the conditions there. nicole, how is it looking tonight? >> erica, as the snow has come to an end, the nig of course has come to an end as well. but there's crews out spreading salt to make sure what is wet on the roads doesn't freeze. >> a little rain, a little

since much earlier this afternoon, from northwest . washingt out to loudon county and nowun fairfax . if you take a look at our live camera, we're showing leburg pike right here in this tyson's corner area. you may recognize the roads and ca dealership and we're near the mall area. what you see here are wet road conditions. that's what we have been seeing for the most part today. some folks did get isnow. personally didn't see any flakes of snow today in any of our travels but weid see some freezi rain earlier. so it really depended on where you are in northern virginia in terms of what sort of precipitation you got. for the most part, the roads are simply wet. on thing i noticed, not a lot of traffic out there. of course at 11:00, the traffic wi lighter but even earlier today it looked like a lot of people decided to stay off the roads which is obviously good now the one thing you want to watch for are the temperatures.

a w wan who first thought to have been murdered by a w panhandler actually killed by her husba andtep daughter. police in texas arrested keith smith and his daughter valeria smith in harlingen, texas. they w te trying escape the united states. it was back in december when keith smith claimed that his wife jacqueline wanted to give a panhandler money so shewn rolle he window. he said a man reached inside and snateced herace and pocketbook and then stabbed her to death. >> poihas to the fact it was not a panhandler and that the circumstances were very diffent and people took advantage of baltimore. and we want to make sure that the truth comes out and justice is done. >> keith smithisnd daughter were seen crying at a press conference following the incide. the story gaining national

headlines when oprah winfrey warned people not to give money to panhandls. anrgument at a family gathering in fairfax county ends in gunfire. a man shot and killed his wife, another man, and then killed himself. the incident rattling neighbors in this tight knit neighborhood on cromwell drive in springfield. police spent hours going in and out the home gathering evidence. police say he shot his wife and nathaniel cooper before taking his own life. there were about ten people in the home last night including several children. civil rights leaders, activists, and presidential hopefuls went to selma, alabama today. they joined hundredsf people in recreating the historic 1965 marchro the edmundpettus bridge. the march came to be known as bloody sunday after alabama state troopers beat the peaceful

into the overnight hours, especially on untreated roads so here's a look at the radar. notice back west, the tail end of this is starting to move oser toward 95 and ili-95. a few snow flakes falling with that. primarily a rain event now. heading farther north. quiting down in frederick. still some snow on the ground and then up into carol county light sno falling. down to washington d.c., rain becoming light as well. but we did see some heavy rain in southern maryland not too long ago. we're turning o future cast so we can talk about timing. by 4:00 a.m., it should clear the entire region and then the clouds will clear after that and we'll wake up to a good deal of sunshine for your monday morning and even though things will be dry we'll still be running into that issue with commutes. so let's talk about schools. school closings nots looking likely. once we started seeing how warm things were staying h and far

north that line was pushing up, we knew that cancellations weren't going to be as impactful in the d.c. area. out west they did see up to 6 inches of snow, fairmont, frostbefros frostburg. delays, i won't rule that out. we have slick slush on the ground still and as far as montgomery, howard ty co i'm highlighting this primarily for northern ermontgomery, nor loudoun and northern howard county. could see delays. for the rest of us, temperatures in the low 30s. it will be cold. y will be bre but it will be dry. all right. let's talk about road conditions rrtomorrow. to morning counts north and especially ones under a nter storm warni are going to see ice and snow on the roads. d.c. metro, a few icy spots north of the beltway. northern maryland w looking and slick through tomorrow morning. as far as the numbers go for
