we're following news out of africa overnight. anthiopian airlines flight came crashing down minutes after it took off. >> the airlines has confirmed all 157 people onboardgh includg americans have died. derrick ward is at dulles hinternational airport wore on this deadly crash. derrick, what do we know? >> reporter: we know we have new video from the crash. this is just coming in now. this is just 31 miles outside of addis ababa. this is flight -- i'm sorry boeing airlines 7378 max that went down with 157 people onboard. there were 149 psengers and eight crew. kenya. bound for nairobi, about six minutes in, it was lost from the radar, and it indeed did crash about 31 miles out from the airport aabout 8:44 this morning addis ababa

time. there were ethiopians, chinese, canadians, essentially 33 nag alts on this flight. it was a relatively new plane just delivered to ethiopia in november, this 737 mass. there was a plane that went dowt previoust was due to proper readings. we heard reports that this plane failed to keep optimum air speed. we hav tweetsf condolences coming in in including ethiopia's prime minister who says on behalf of t people and government they express deepest condolences to the families of those who have loved ones onboard this flight and the president of ethiopia has also offered his condolences.

he's expected to be okay. but if you can identify this car, police want to hear from you. > an elderly woman's oxygen tank may have contributed to a deadly house fire in mclean. firefighters found flames and smoke coming from this home on brookhaven drive around noon yesterday. neighbors say they heard an loud explosion and saw tanks being h delivered to te earlier in the day. still not clear if the tanks caused this fire. a woman hit during a chase lastieunday has this weekend. this is the accident on pegg road and west bur boulevard in lexington park. 87-year-old carol anderson of leonardtown was killed. deputies say the driver savoy crossed the center line on pegg road and slammed into anderson's red volkswagen vehicle. savoy had been wanted on several outstanding warrants. authorities say they found a

newspaper. reynolds allegedly lied about the value andxience of advertising contracts that the company had. investigators also believe he lied about how much money h and others invested in the company. if convicted, reynolds could face decades in prison. all right.ur let's turn attention to politics now. president trump getting ready to release his budget planext week and it could trigger a showdown with congress over spending tecaps. the wouse wants $750 billion for defense including border wall and funds for a defense space force. it also includes cutting nondiscretionary spending by cutting 5% below thecap. that's something lawmakers have resisted in the past. a local church is thinking globally while acting locally. our lady queen of peace is goinw solah what is now the largest solar array. the project includes 319 panels.
