late for that in the season, but let's talk about those details and wha can impact your neighborhood. that's coming up in just about 15 minutes. >> all right. lauryn, thank you very much. developing this mornings we're learning more about a deadernight shooting of prince george's county. one man was killed and another in the hospital >> police say this all happened in a neighborhood in lanham where w found news 4's derrick ward. what have we learned so far? reporter: well, we're here in the 9200 black of alcona street in lanham. still can see, police are on the street. some of the crime scene investigators just left, but we dohi know that was a double shooting in that house here in the 9200 block.ne it happe around 3:00 a.m. take a look at the video as you see the ambulance and investigators arriving on the scene. police were called to this house. we're not told whether the call or from the house another house, but in any case, when police got here they found two p who had been shot, a male and a female, both adults.

the male wasn pronounced dead the scene and the female was taken to the hospital. weon't note extents of her injuries. the questions being asked at this point, the relationship between the two victims, whether oteither or b of them were residents of this home and, of course, aw motive. olice have not released any information regarding a lookout not suspect that does appear that this was random. but the investigation is still under way a lot of questions net to be answered, but, again, two people shot here in the 9200 block of alcona street in lanham. one adult male pronounced dead on the scene and a woman has been hospitalized. we're live in lanham, derri ward, news 4. >> a meeting to vote on millions of dollars of incentives to bring amazon's hq2 project spiraled out of control. >> the board eventually did vote to23 approve the million package but not before several interruptions for protesters. >> this is not a meeting. >> i take it the anower it >> this is a sham. >> protesters against the

t.c. maslin suffered a severe traumatic brain injury that left him unable to walk or talk. >>fter theattack, his wife faced the challenge of caring for a man who seemed like a stranger in many ways, but they faced the unknown together. news 4's doree gentzler has their story. >> good luck with that. >> reporter: if you saw them walking down the street together, you mht think what a beautiful family, and you'd be right, but there is so much more to this family's story than that. >> police are working on a timeline in that beating case of a man on capitol hill. >> reporter: six and a half years ago t.c. maslin was attacked and robbed as he walket home capitol hill after a nats game. his skull was shattered by a traumaticat, a severe brain injury that nearly killed him but instead left him unable to talk oread or use the right side of his body. our hearts ached for this young

plans to take it back where it first came from. >> reporter: much of the history of this cross remains a history. the iron cross arrived march 25th, 1634, with some of the first english settlers and jez united states when they landed here on st.clement's ireland. the cross made its way to st. francis xavier church in cecil,ar mand. and in 1662 an encryption was added to the cross and lost in history until father murphy found it in 1989. >> by accident. >> reporter: he saw this sign pointing to the original site of st. francis xavier school so he deded to check itut and there he saw a hip can a of the cross and a plaque saying that the original cross is at georgetown university. >> and that's when my curiosity was aroused. i never saw a cross like this at georgetown. where could it be, i wondered. >> reporter: father murphy asked everyone on campus and even the archivies didn't know aut the cross but one day the priest was rooting around in a storage room
