of your credit report once a year, but there are some other things you need to look out for. >> it's important, but did you know that you have to look out for everything because sometimes you could have mistakes on there. of course we haeporter susan hogan working for you to tell you what to look for to make sure your credit report is accurate. >> mistakes are common on credit reports. according to the consumer law center, 42 million americans have errors on theirs. for 10 million, mistakes are so significant, they could be denied credit. here's what you should pay close attention to on your reports. identifying information. look carefully at the top o your credit report to make sure your name, current and previous addresses and employers are correct. glaring errorsuch as a wrong address could be a sign of identity theft. minor mistakes likemisspellings are probably harmless but still worth rrecting. next, check your credit card
