>> reporter: police were called here just after 5:00 for the port of a missing swlater.s the dog was found and is okay. >> the best of my knowledge, i've lived in this community now 19 years, i've never heard of something like this happening. >> reporter: john joh the lake braddock community association. he says people use the path around the lake to exercise and walk their dogs. he says the lake is not deep, but it's very cold this time of year. >> i think it's tragic. the worst thing that you want to happen is for some tragedy to happen to a member of your family. it's always worse when it happens to aut child, it's equally bad when it happens to an my heart goes out to the family. n reporter: police worked well into thehttime hours blllecting evidence and interviewing pos witnesses. they are expecting to release more information on sunday.

in fairfax county, darcy spencer, news 4. >> darcy, thank you. a massive mall disturban in baltimore county involreng hundds of teens. tonight things were much calmer. police arrested ninteenagers in dundalk. it happened after a march madness party. 300 teens were involved in the disturbance. some damaged property at the mall. right now part of the pothole plague bw parkway shutdown for much needed repairs. the route between 198 and 197 are closed for the work. this is southbound lanes last night as crews did the work. everything should be opened by 5:00 a.m. sunday. the emergency repairs to improve conditions before a larger repaving project starts next month. we have much more information on thers along the parkway, including details on that permanent fix that's coming thi summer. it's all on our nbc washington app. open it up and search potholes.
