live team coverag start now. and we begin with that breaking news. an explosive wreck on the belt way that had drivers saying on no, here we go again. >> a tractor trailsh cra into the jersey wall near the inner loop on van dorn street and bursts into flame. >> this is the second accident on the belt way in the lastek as bad as this looks now, we don't think this is going to be anywhere as near as bad as last week's tanker explosion. >> the area affected is between i-395 and van dorn street. all lanes were shut down and a few have reopen. >> see that traffic now moving to the right of that jersey wall. our northern virginia chief lead our team coverage. >> this will be a rough commute but not as bad as a weekgo

with a little audio this time. as i was saying earlier, this not really a repeat of what we saw last week at the legion bridge. they are clearing this out much more quickly. you seeehind me there is what's leftoverem this si cab up on the tow truck. l as wek on down the inner loop of the belt way here, you'll see t t rest ofhat semi truck. it was a load of foam board that it was carrying. it was about 2:00 when this semi slammed into the jersey barrier, actually hopped the jersey barrier and tha whole load of foamn board was dumped over the north bound side. you'll see have here that was taken by a woman on the scene. she and her husband were headed to the grocery store, saw the flum of smo plume of find out what was burning. this is what it looked like about 2:00. that couple tells me it took about 45 minutes for fairfax county firefighters to put the flames out. they had to bring in a number anker trucks to have enough

water. naturally, flamlanes on both si of the belt way had to be closed down. this load was all over the place and because of the fire. the other azing thi out here today along with the pace of the cleanus the truck driver i going to be okay. initially he even declined treatment at the hospital but they did later decide to take tm in and check him out and the other thinghat's surprising, with all the traffic we see on the belt way, no other veh ules caught in the crash. i'm going to have the photographer swing around here right now. i want to tell you one otherg. th virginia state police have been creative ere this afternoon with some of the overflow traffic thai they've actually opened up a lane here inside this facility that is just off eisenhower avenue and they are trying to relieve that log jam a little bit routing traffic through here. agtarting to get back to normal here, although i'm sure avere's some people that are going to he to be pretty patient down the line there until this is all cleared out of the way.

grandmother and a 13-year-old died, those lives can never be replaced. we're learning more about what happened as fire raced through this townhouse community in chesapeake beach yesterday afternoon. two people died. wendy welsh and her granddaughter stephanie were on the phone with emergency operators as the flames closed in on them. d.ey were trap >> they told her to jump out the window and they said the house collapse her and the phone went dead. >> we went door-to-door from the second one, third one, fourth one, this one, that first one over here to get people out. >> reporter: some residents say fire crew his trouble with hydrants that wouldn't work. they couldn't get them turned tf. neighbors haded to do what they could with handheld fire extinguisher. >> it was traveling from underneath the house in t first one and then it engulfed the second one and it kept on spreading beneath all the houses. then they actualto turned match stick. >> investigators are still trying too find out what caused this fire. while they believe the origin of the fire is from the outside,
