th a morning d.c. poli investigating a triple shooting that left two men dead. >> so far 40 people have been murdered in washington this year. a 20% increase from the same time last year. last night two men were death in the hall of a building at nash street near ron brown high school in northeast. hey had been shot sever times. a short time later another man was shot in t leg in a car that crashed at sheriff roa a investigator not sure if it's connected to the shooting on nash street. >> obviously this is a senseless gun violence. we can't say anything about the could have led to the violence. we have two lives snuffed out. >> no information about the victims or a suspect. drivers in our area experienced a second terrible

traffic thursday in a row. the images shoda yests fiery tractor-trailer crash. the truck was traveling on the inner loop in the alexandria section of fairfax county when t hit a jersey wall and flipped. the crash closed the beltway for almost two hours, oneour after the beltway reopened. another crash happened, eastbound i-66 near route 123, chain bridge road. 12 cars were involved in the accident. a painful hoax. that's what investigators are calling the case of a man claiming to be a missing illinois boy. officials say 23-year-old brian michael rini told them he was dmmothy pitzen, a coun kindergartener wappeared eight years ago. pitsen's mother took him on a roadtrip, died by su said the child was safe but would never be found. this week, rini told kentucky police he'd escaped from an ohio hotel after being held against his will for years. dna results showed rini was not

man accused of assaulting a group of people o is the streets. d.c. police arrested jamar tillman wednesday night. they say he engaged in sexual contact with five victims on 20th street south of dupont circle. also assaulted a sixth victim and attempted to engage that ctim in a sex act. tillman is facing multiple charges including sex abuse, robbery, and assault. a charles county man faces several child pornography charges this morning. yesterday police arrested 39-year-old anthony robinson at his wdorf home. while searching his devices, police say they found child pornography. state police say they became aware of robinson alleged actions during an online action trying to find disturbing material. >> the president will visit ca xico, california, to ur an

arrest. here's a look at the embassy. assange has been holed up there since 2012. he sought asylum to avoid sex crime charges haveee have dropped. there's been an ongoing tension between sange and the president of ecuador. on capitol hill the chairman of theic house jry committee is calling for the immediate release of the special counsel's report. in a letter to attorney general william barr, jerrold nadler cites what he calls troubling reports tha mueller's team had issues with barr's letter summarizing the principal findings. he says it suggests robert mueller and the team has answer to release to the public. loou they're working to release a redacted report. in the shadow of the martin luther king jr. memorial, people came together to mark the51st anniversary to the day of dr. king's assassination.

your court fees, the ommonwealth suspends your driver's license. governor ralph northam argues that if you lose your ability to dre to work, it's going to be a lot harder to pay court fees. late wednesday, bipartisan support in virginia's gen al assembreversed the policy. >> guess what, the court fines will get paid a l faster. these guys can get real jobs. a career. >> reporteepting in northern virginia, drew wilder, news4. 4:17. a new study suggests a link between high-speed limits and an uptick in lives lost on the road. according to the insur institute for highway safety, over the past 25 years nearly 37,000 pple have died as speed limits increased. the study found a five mile-per-hour incase in speed s linked with an 8% increase in fatalities on the roadways. the research comes ahead of a meeting later this month in charlottesville where leaders will discuss a speed management program. some d.c. firefighters have a pretty unique way to stay fit.
