re calling a death investigation. d.c. police say someone found what appears to be human remains. this was the scene yesterday at arou 11:00 in the morning on 30th street in alabama avenue in southeast. investigators recovered the remains and sent them to the medical examiner's office. >> time is 9:37. authorities in carol county, maryland, are calling it one ofd the moturbing scenes they have ever seen. a couple is now under arrest after the discovery several dead dog at their home. police say on friday, animal control rescued 27 dogs. they found 11 dead ones at a home on black rock road in hamp stead. john roberts anda la filler face more than 50 charges including animal uelty. animal control is asking for help to care for the animals that they rescued. an update to a pet store accused of animal northern virginia. we learned the surviving rabbits from the petland store in fairfax have been surrendered to a local shelter. e mlier we told youre than a

dozen dead rabbits were found in that store's freezer. humane society of the united stateserentcover and says it found eviornce that the s was letting thed animals ie. we're told the rabbits are going to foster homes and expect to b available for adoption in the next few week. nearly a dozen people will need a new place to stay after flames ripped through their home. look at the pictures. montgomery county fire responded it a kitchen fire on hobs hill wa montgomery village yesterday. no one was hurt. but right now the red cross is helping the ten people who are now displaced. in d.c., some nonprofits can take a hit after the city missed an application deadline for federal government each year organizations send serve d.c. applications for money, that organization submits the applications. but since the city msed the deadline, any new applications this year are inelithble. groups who serve low income students won't get nearly $4 milion in funding to support americorps volunteers. the city also missed a window ta
